Easy Electrolyte Drink
The best part of my morning routine (besides my coffee 😉)
Commercial electrolyte drinks are often filled with junk and artificial sweeteners which is why I started making my own at home. It’s so easy to make and the balance of sodium, potassium and magnesium will keep you hydrated and feeling good all day long.
I introduced this to my morning routine last summer when I was super pregnant and started getting terrible leg cramps in the middle of the night. It helped so much! I’ve continued on since I am breastfeeding and honestly I don’t think I will ever stop.
I recommend buying a big mason jar + straw to put it in.
Morning Electrolyte Drink
Ingredients:
¼ teaspoon Celtic salt (the one I love is linked here)
Juice of 1 orange
Generous splash of cranberry juice
Filtered water
Tons of ice
Directions:
Fill your mason jar with ice, then add the juice of one orange. I like to drop in an orange slice too because it looks pretty!
Add a generous splash of cranberry juice + the Celtic salt. Swirl it around to help dissolve the salt.
Top with filtered water and enjoy!
If you make this and like it feel free to share with your friends!

I make something similar to drink in the evenings. Well, truthfully it’s more like a mocktail. However it does involve a can of sparkling water some orange juice and pomegranate juice. OK, grenadine, I add grenadine. I could add some cranberry juice and a little salt to that. I’m curious about where the electrolytes are coming from. If I added a quarter teaspoon of Maldon salt would that work? I feel kind of ignorant about this but I do get some fairly spectacular nighttime leg cramps occasionally.
I love making electrolyte drinks in the afternoon, tho I’ve never added cranberry juice. Will have to try that next time!
